The most common side effects are mild and temporary. They include redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding during treatment, dryness, tightness, peeling as skin regenerates, small bumps/papules from PDRN channels, & mild tenderness or sensitivity for a few days.

Stop retinoids (like tretinoin), avoid exfoliants, no waxing, threading or hair removal, avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning. Avoid blood thinners if medically safe (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, & alcohol) to help reduce bruising & pinpoint bleeding.
If you have an active acne infection, rash or open wounds, you should reschedule your appointment.
If you have a history of cold sores, start prophylactic medication.
